Make the subject easy to read
- Keep the whole object in frame, with its outline separated from the background. Cropped edges and overlapping objects leave less information about the intended shape.
- Choose an image with readable details and even lighting. Strong shadows, reflections, or motion blur can make surface colors and boundaries harder to interpret.
- Use a simple background when possible. A transparent background is optional, and removing it cannot recover parts of an object hidden in the original photo.
Single image or multiple views?
A single image is a practical starting point, but hidden surfaces must be inferred. If the back or sides matter, use the multi-image input available with Meshy or Tripo to provide additional views of the same object.

Create a 3D Model from Text
Use text to 3D to describe an object without a reference image. Focus on its subject, shape, surface, and style.

- Name the object and its main parts. Keep the request centered on the asset you want to generate.

- Describe the silhouette, proportions, and prominent structures. State which features should be thick, narrow, rounded, or angular.
- Surface
- Specify the important colors and materials when requesting textured output. Surface descriptions do not replace geometric detail.
- Style
- Choose a consistent visual direction. Avoid asking for conflicting proportions or incompatible surface finishes in the same description.
If the exact silhouette is easier to show than describe, create a reference image first, review it, and use image-to-3D input. Trellis accepts images; choose a text-capable model for direct text generation.

The back looks different
A front image does not show the back. Add consistent side or rear views with a model that supports multiple images, or accept that unseen details will be interpreted.
The proportions feel wrong
Check for perspective distortion, cropped parts, or inconsistent angles. Try a clearer reference, or simplify the shape instructions in a text description.
Unwanted colors appear
Look for shadows, reflections, and background colors in the source image. Try a more evenly lit reference with a simpler background before changing texture settings.
The mesh is too dense or too simple
Review the available face-count, simplification, or quality controls. Recheck small features after reducing complexity; settings cannot recover information missing from the input.

Download the model from its result panel. GLB is used for the 3D preview; additional files depend on the result. When a download bundle is available, keep related resources together.

You can use these as image references. A clear, complete subject gives the model more useful information than a crowded scene. With a sketch or illustration, ambiguous depth and hidden surfaces must be interpreted, so the result may differ from the object you imagined.
How should I prepare multiple images of the same object?

Which files can I download after generation?
The main preview and download use GLB. Some tasks also return additional model or texture files, listed in the result panel. Use Download All when offered to collect the available resources together.
What should I check before using the model in another 3D application?
Set scale and orientation after import, then review materials and mesh complexity for the destination. Prepare topology and rigging for animation, or closed volumes and wall thickness for printing.
