Remove backgrounds from portraits, product photos, and illustrations with 3D Design AI. Upload an image and download an isolated subject to place in a new layout or use as a 3D reference.
Start with the picture you want to reuse. No written description of the subject is required.
Choose a supported JPG, PNG, or WebP image within the 10MB upload limit. Use a clear source with the full foreground visible; a cropped or blurred original leaves less detail to retain.
Submit the image for automatic foreground separation. The tool identifies what to keep without a drawn selection. For an image with several competing subjects, review carefully which objects remain.
Compare the result with your source, especially around fine edges and gaps. Download the transparent image when the cutout suits your project, then inspect it over the background where it will be used.
The original image determines how much usable detail is available around the subject.
Choose a source where the foreground is distinguishable from its surroundings. Similar colors, heavy blur, and overlapping objects make the boundary less clear. A simpler source can be more useful than repeatedly processing an ambiguous one.
Leave the complete outline visible, including handles, hair, stems, and other narrow parts. Background removal cannot reconstruct an object that was cropped out of the photograph or reveal surfaces hidden behind another object.
Look at both the outer silhouette and the spaces inside the subject.
Zoom in on fine strands and narrow connections. Check for missing pieces or leftover background between them. If those details are essential, choose a clearer source or finish the edge cleanup in an image editor.
Inspect openings such as a handle, the gap between an arm and a body, or spaces between branches. A cutout can look convincing around its outline while still retaining background inside these areas.
These surfaces contain a mixture of foreground appearance and the old background. Do not assume automatic removal will preserve every reflection or translucent detail. Check the result on the intended destination color.
A bright outline may become visible only on a dark background. Test the downloaded image on light and dark layers in your editor. Inspect the original for blur or reflected background color before deciding whether to use another source.
Background removal and transparent image generation solve different tasks.
Keep an existing portrait for a profile layout, isolate a product for a presentation, or separate an illustration for a collage. Choose background removal when you want to reuse the original foreground.
Use the transparent image generator to create artwork from text or make a generative transparent version of a reference. Remaking can alter shapes, lettering, and other details, so choose it when that kind of reconstruction is acceptable.
Remove distracting scenery when it makes the object harder to read, then review the foreground before generating a model.
For image-to-3D, a useful cutout keeps the subject's full silhouette and distinctive parts intact. Check that removal has not erased thin structures or filled internal gaps. A clear photo on a plain background may already be sufficient; transparency is not a requirement for every model.
A cutout isolates the visible subject; it adds no new views or depth measurements. Use it as an input to the 3D generator, or place it directly into a flat composition in your design application.
Answers about input images, foreground quality, and using your cutout.
Use JPG, PNG, or WebP within the 10MB upload limit shown in the tool. Start with the clearest available source. Converting a low-quality image to another format will not recover missing edge detail.
Yes, you can submit an image with a white background. Review pale objects and soft edges carefully, since areas with little contrast can be difficult to separate. Place the result over a darker color to inspect the boundary.
No. This tool processes the uploaded image automatically without a written prompt or a brush selection. If the automatic cutout misses something important, try a clearer source or make the final selection adjustments in an image editor.
This workflow separates foreground from background. It is not a selective object eraser that fills the area behind any object you choose. For a generative change to the scene, use image-to-image editing and describe what should change.
Fine and partially transparent areas need careful review. Automatic separation may miss strands, leave a fringe, or interpret translucent material incorrectly. Inspect these areas over your destination background instead of judging the result only from its thumbnail.
This page produces an isolated foreground rather than a replacement scene. Place the downloaded result over a new layer in your editor, or use the AI image generator for a generative scene change. Check that scale, lighting, and shadows fit the new setting.
No. Changing the file format alone leaves the visible background in place. Background removal separates the foreground and creates transparent areas; use a format that retains transparency when you save or export the result afterward.
Upload a photo or illustration and create a cutout for your next design.
